EST offers both standalone soil and groundwater sampling services, utilizing our team of environmental specialists. We also provide turnkey services with our fleet of truck-mounted Geoprobe Systems™ hydraulic-powered direct-push and limited-access equipment. Our direct-push equipment is used for continuous soil coring or discrete-depth soil sampling. This technology minimizes costs related to the containment, transport, treatment, or disposal of investigation-derived wastes and reduces safety hazards associated with other drilling methods. Furthermore, it can operate efficiently in smaller work areas compared to traditional drilling methods.
For groundwater sampling, we use driven drop-screen samplers or install temporary one-inch diameter or larger PVC wells using hydraulic-drive coring techniques. The choice of method depends on the hydraulic properties of the water-bearing zone and our client’s specific needs. Soil and groundwater samples may be analyzed in EST’s California-certified mobile laboratories, allowing for real-time evaluation of sample concentrations. This ensures the optimum placement of subsequent probes based on current data, thereby eliminating the wasted time and expense of unnecessary sampling and analysis. Data compilation is computerized on-site for rapid turnaround to the client.
